A wee while ago I did some script editing on a film called Iain. You can see snippets of it in this Cherryman Media showreel. See if you can work out which parts are from it.
With a title like that, it just has to be Takashi Miike. Review of lunatic youth-culture film over at The Zone.
I get the feeling my reviewing style is starting to change. Don’t know if this is good or bad. The style, that is. The film is wonderful. My daughter described it as “Depressing and funny”. I think the word she was searching for was ‘melancholic’ since she was riveted by it.
Next time you have some guests round for dinner and conversation maybe starts to flag a bit afterwards, why not put on this film? It’ll liven things up.
Sorry. A review of a horror film for The Zone.
It sometimes goes under the alias Crimson and it’s not an arthouse film. They don’t make ‘em like this any longer; you just can’t get the kipper ties these days.
Structurally, one of the weirdest films that I’ve seen.
It’s the latest Glaswegian apocalypse film. We’ve now got our own subgenre. Watch in horror as the 44 bus grinds to a halt in Glassford Street! Shudder as street performers risk life and limb on the Clyde walkway!
