  1. Ian Hunter says:

Phew, glad you are reviewing Al’s book, as a glutton for punishment I was going to volunteer since I’ve got a copy that’s tottering on the reading pile below “Rocket Science” and “Adrift”.

  2. Jim Steel says:

The original plan was to have it reviewed for the following issue, Ian, and preferably by someone who didn’t go drinking with him on a regular basis. This is also presuming that Small Beer got my request for a review copy in the first place. But we ended up with a last-minute hole in this issue and, since I had a copy to hand, it seemed like the obvious solution. And that’s how the Bookzone gets put together. Tra-la!

  3. Ian Hunter says:

Going drinking with him isn’t the same as him actually buying you a pint, which is a rare event. Was at Underword’s National Flash Fiction bash in Edinburgh last night sitting next to a certain Mutation Press guy, and he bought me a pint! Crivens!

  4. Jim Steel says:

    Payola, eh?
