And, while we’re in a rock’n’roll mood, Come And Let Me Hear You Sing is a limited-edition Primevals live album that is being given away with their new studio album. It was only when I got it home that I realised that it was a recording from the 2005 gig at King Tut’s in Glasgow where they supported the Saints. Now I can add it to the small but increasingly cool collection of recordings that have me bellowing somewhere in the crowd.
The studio album, Disinhibitor, is awesome; eighteen tracks of mutant garage that show this lot breathe the same fumes as the New Christs and the Gun Club. All three bands have their own blood-soaked altars in this house as stunned vistors will attest.
